History of the GMPC Stained Glass Window

Behind the pulpit, a modern stained glass window illuminates the sanctuary. From the center of the window, the light of Christ's life and truth pierces the surrounding darkness even to the edge, where, through the darker colors, the clear light still shines.

The inspiration for the beautiful and rich stained glass window is from the prologue to John's Gospel, particularly these words: "In Him was life and the life was light of all people. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it." Here again is depicted the force of Christ's truth and life as creative light penetrating and overcoming darkness. —excerpt from "One Hundredth Anniversary"
