GMPC Church History

In 1964, First United Presbyterian Church of Denver took a leap of faith and relocated the church to a then-rural setting in anticipation of the suburban growth that followed. That congregation had a spirit of vision for a major church in a rural setting. We are very grateful for that vision and those persons who helped to establish our present church.

Our church strives to offer an inclusive and non-judgmental atmosphere. We realize that we are in different places in our spiritual journeys and are willing to accept one another. There is a strong commitment within the congregation to nurture each other. We offer a spiritual home that offers freedom in terms of spirituality-seeking.

We are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Presbyterians are distinctive in two major ways: they adhere to a pattern of religious thought known as Reformed theology and a form of government that stresses the active, representational leadership of both ministers and church members.
